With Cinema 4D 2027 now supported by Drop & Render, you can work in the new release and submit your scenes to our Cinema 4D render farm without leaving Cinema 4D.
Released on October 14, 2026, Cinema 4D 2027.0 introduces a native Scatter System and Liquid FX alongside closer Redshift integration and new procedural tools. Maxon's release announcement covers the full update; below, we'll look at how these additions fit into scene-building and what to consider when preparing a project for the farm.

Scatter: build richer environments inside Cinema 4D
The new Scatter System distributes objects across surfaces, making it easier to fill a scene with grass, plants, rocks or debris. It can prevent unwanted overlaps, while the Scatter Generator and Scatter Tag let different assets follow their own placement rules.
Because the Scatter System works with MoGraph Fields and Effectors, you can shape or animate a scattered environment using tools already familiar from motion design.
For a product reveal surrounded by vegetation or a camera moving through a landscape, you can control where objects appear, how densely they grow and how their placement changes across the shot.
When preparing the animation for rendering, it's worth looking beyond the opening frame: a camera move may reveal much denser parts of the environment later in the sequence. Including those views in a test render gives you a better sense of how the scene behaves before you submit the full animation.

Liquid FX: foam, spray and bubbles that follow the liquid
Liquid FX adds secondary detail to Cinema 4D liquid simulations by generating spray above the surface, foam on the surface and bubbles within the liquid. These effects have separate particle groups for further control, with their setup explained in Maxon's Liquid FX documentation.
In beverage close-ups, these particles provide the foam around a pour, droplets catching the light and bubbles rising through the liquid.
Before sending a sequence to the farm, the liquid and secondary-effects simulations need to be complete, with the required caches included in the project. Since Liquid FX needs a live-calculated source liquid to generate its particles, the secondary effects should be generated before you rely on cached playback alone; representative test frames can then help you check the result.

Redshift: smoother look development and new surface detail
The Redshift 2027.0 update brings changes to GPU memory management and more responsive interactive rendering in Cinema 4D, alongside procedural Fur for creating fibers, fur and textile surfaces at render time.
With support for motion blur and instancing, Fur can be used for the surface detail in product close-ups, from upholstery and knitted materials to soft toys.
Cinema 4D's updated Redshift workflow also puts more material controls on the material tag and adds HDRI browsing to the Dome Light, keeping those controls closer when you try different lighting and material combinations. Maxon's Cinema 4D workflow overview covers these updates.
While faster interactive feedback helps you refine a shot locally, representative test frames are still the best way to assess the time and cost of rendering your particular scene. Our Redshift render farm page explains the workflow if you're planning to use it for the final sequence.

More control for procedural and product work
For motion designers working procedurally, Cinema 4D 2027 adds Nodes Field and Nodes Effector objects for building custom Fields and Effectors visually with node graphs. Visualization artists also get more ways to bring engineering models into a scene, with expanded CAD import support covering formats such as 3MF/AMF, IFC, Inventor, NX and Solid Edge; both additions are covered in Maxon's full feature overview.
Render Cinema 4D 2027 with Drop & Render
Our Cinema 4D workflow starts with the plugin checking your scene and collecting its dependencies for upload. Once the job is submitted, you can follow its progress in the dashboard while Drop & Render Link returns finished frames to the output folder configured in your project.
If you're submitting a project for the first time, the process is:
- After creating your account, open Drop & Render Link and follow setup to install the Cinema 4D plugin.
- With your simulations finished, save the project and make sure the required assets and caches are available.
- Run the scene check and review its messages, including any requirements for your render engine or plugins, before submitting.
- Submit a small selection of test frames covering the most demanding views and the materials, effects or motion you want to check.
- Once you're happy with the test output, submit the full frame range and follow its progress in the dashboard.
You can find more detail on setup and submission in our Cinema 4D manual, alongside render farm pricing to help you plan the budget for your project.
Cinema 4D 2027 rendering FAQ
Does Drop & Render support Cinema 4D 2027?
Yes, Drop & Render supports Cinema 4D 2027 through our Cinema 4D plugin, whose scene check helps you review the requirements of your particular project before submitting.
What is new in Cinema 4D 2027?
The release adds Scatter, Liquid FX, Nodes Fields and Effectors, expanded CAD imports and Redshift workflow improvements, all covered in more detail in Maxon's 2027 feature overview.
Should I test my Cinema 4D 2027 scene before rendering the full animation?
Testing frames from different parts of the shot lets you check simulation playback, materials and output settings before committing to the whole sequence. Frames where the scene changes most are particularly useful, since a single view may not reveal issues elsewhere in the animation.
